What changes when the situation stays
Why knowledge, money and network rarely make the difference.
By Katharina Beer, decision architect ·
The basic problemPeople face challenges and believe they lack knowledge, money or a network for them.
In my work I see again and again that people do not master challenges because they have better prerequisites than others. More knowledge, a better financial starting point or a larger network rarely make the difference.
When the position is clarified
Once clients have clarified their position, they look at what lies ahead differently:
They recognise opportunities
Their focus turns to what is possible and can be influenced
They see room to act
They regain energy
They make decisions that are in line with their plan
They handle setbacks differently
And they trust themselves more
The key statementWhoever has clarified their position sees the same situation with different eyes.
The situation is no different afterwards. But the person facing it is.
